- Saʿīd Khaṭībī (1984-, Algeria) – Ḥatab Sarāyifū (‘Firewood of Sarajevo’, 2018). Two young people, the Algerian journalist Salīm and the Bosnian waitress and aspiring writer and theater actress Iyfānā, coincidentally meet in a restaurant in Slovenia, and after both returning to their homeland, they start exchanging letters (reference). Through their exchange, the novel draws comparisons between the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Algeria, and how they affect the two characters individually as well as their relationship with each other (reference).
