- Ilyās Khūrī (1948-, Lebanon) – Majmaʿ al-Asrār (‘Complex of secrets’, 1994). Following the massacre at Mount Lebanon, the Lebanese family Āl Naṣār exiles to Colombia where they witness the civil wars that raged in the country in the late 19th (reference). Through the interaction between the family and their cousins in Lebanon, the story illustrates how estrangement exists between the group abroad and those who stayed, while also reflecting on the nature of socio-political violence across two continents (reference).
