Exciting News from the CAL Encyclopedia Team!
We’re delighted to welcome Adnan Charakh as Advisor on literature from Iraq to the Contemporary Arab(ic) Literature (CAL) Encyclopedia project!
Adnan is a translator, cultural advisor, and capacity-building specialist with a deep passion for connecting literature, empathy, and leadership. He currently serves with the British Council’s Youth Advisory Board and as Training Development Advisor at the Iraqi Observatory For Human Rights (IOHR).
Adnan has translated and published three books from English into Arabic, alongside numerous articles.
His expertise and insight will help strengthen CAL’s representation of Iraqi contemporary literature and enrich our broader understanding of the Arab(ic) literary landscape.
